Greetings and welcome to the third edition of the Chronicles of Galgaron, the Eligium community newsletter. Herein, we will put the spotlight on the latest developments, highlights of the news, recent events, activities and competitions, along with overviews of new fansites and guild pages.

Website updates:

-       Huzzah! Finally! The time is nigh! The Closed Beta phase is almost upon us. In an official statement, it was announced that the CB will be launched on the 19^th of December 2011! (Link)

-       Stay updated thanks to our RSS news feed! With this great tool, you can easily implement a feed on your fan- or guild-page. (Link)

-       Don’t fancy walking into battle? Are your new sandals giving your blisters? Walking is now a thing of the past thanks to Eligium steeds. Check out our sneak preview of the mount system! (Link)

-       Following our popular first glimpse at the basic skills of the Monk, we have over the past couple of weeks taken a look at those of the Druid, the Mage and the Warrior.

-       The number of our fans on Facebook has shot up! With over 8,000 fans (and rising fast!), we’d like to thank everyone who shared our news, re-linked our updates and participated in the lively exchange of ideas which is taking place there. (Link)

Forum updates:

-       For a period of a few days, applications were opened for the position of Mentor to the English-language community. Response was amazing and we are currently considering each applicant. Many thanks to those who contacted us. :) (Link)

-       FATE co-leader Andrea has kindly provided newcomers with a “How to” guide to the forum. (Link)

Guild presentation:

With less than two weeks to go before the Closed Beta launch, more guilds continue to come forth from the raw chaos of the Internet. We welcome each and every one of them as they settle in their new home!

-       “Armada Brigade”, a PvE and PvP guild, and its leaders are currently looking to recruit more members. (Link)

-       PvP guild “£eGenÐaRY Guild” are looking forward to joining others in battle. (Link)

-       Multi-game guild “Sovereign” regroups players from across the world. They are actively recruiting in the forum. (Link)

Events, contests and competitions:

-       Still don’t have a Beta key? With less than 2 weeks to go before the launch of the Closed Beta phase, keep your eyes peeled and stay alert. (Facebook, Twitter and the forums)

Memorable:

-       Panda mounts are finally revealed to the public! (Link)

-       3 Skateboards Vs the Greatsword. We’re positive that an Eligium warrior would have managed 5! (Link)
